The core focus of The Quail Diaries is a long term project centered on the study of the behavior, ecology and evolution  of Callipepla quail. 

More broadly, however, The Quail Diaries incorporates, via scientific, literary and artistic approaches, an investigation of the places where the Callipepla and the Homo meet.
